Mt. Hood Meadows in mid-september. Hiking up from the Hood River Meadows parking lot following the stream to an elevation of approx 5,800 in Clark Canyon. Lot’s of loose rock near and around the falls – some rolling from the top of the east wall +1,000 elevation. Crossed the river over 10 times – water level was low so was able to find opportune rocks to hop across. Medium sized growth, loose snow groomer path, river washout – floodplain. Mostly sunny, 54 fahrenheit – isolated rain from clouds forming over peak.
